I have been fortunate enough to visit farmers’ markets in many places…some very small and some overwhelming…and I’m always happy to come back to the wonderful market in my community. Although I’m not a vendor at THE BEAVERTON FARMERS’ MARKET any more I am still friends with many vendors and customers I got to know over the years. Fall is my favorite time of year at the market and I thought you might like to see a few displays of the produce that is available now. Aren’t the artichoke blossoms beautiful!!!
Fall officially starts next week and it’s time to think about a few special holiday gifts that I like to give as gifts for Christmas. I’m one of those strange folks who likes fruitcake, especially when they have had several months of being brushed with rum or bourbon. The GOLDEN FRUITCAKE I gave as gifts last year got rave reviews and I will be using that recipe again with a different assortment of dried fruits and nuts. The recipe will be coming soon. Stay tuned.
Gorgeous colors Cathy! I’ll bet those Honey Crisps are amazing-enjoy:@)

I can’t believe all of those gorgeous tomatoes. We had a lot of rain this summer and that wasn’t so good for the local crop. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, your Beaverton market is one of the prettiest I’ve seen outside of France.

Total eye candy. The colors just explode off the screen. Lucky you, to have that to go to. Denver is nice but our vendors don’t seem to take the time to create such visual displays.

What a sight to behold. Unfortunately, I have not been to one farmers’ market this summer. Our cold weather here caused many crops to be late then I been busy every weekend that the farmers have had something to offer. I better get with it! You have inspired me to make it a point before the season is over.

I love homemade fruitcake too! Your photos are just gorgeous.
Fresh garden produce is unbeatable! This summer I was at my daughter’s home and I ate a sweet cherry tomatoe warm from the sun, like candy!!! You have a wonderful market, love all the colors of the bounty of the harvest 🙂
What an incredible market Caithy! I have to admit, I’m just a teeny bit jealous. Our farmer’s market is quite ho-hum compared to yours! I would be there every day if I were you!
This FM has to be one of the best looking anywhere.

I like some fruitcake. I’m sure I’d like yours.
WOW! Those pictures make me wanna drive up there right now and buy some of all of them.
I always love reading about your farmers’ market Cathy, the photos are so vibrant and colorful!
I am in love with all the fresh produce!! I am going to our local market (a very small one) this Thursday too!

Howdy! I could have sworn I’ve been to this blog
